Celebration of International Peace Day - 2016 at Jammu & Kashmir (India)

International Peace Day 2016 was celebrated by J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides at State Headquarter Gandhi Nagar Jammu, under the Leadership of worthy (Shri. I. D. Soni) State Commissioner(S) J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides in which near about 230 Cubs/Bulbuls/Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers and Adult Leaders took an active part and participate in various activities( Peace Run, Drawing & Painting Competition, Speeches on Peace, Peace Pledge etc) related International Peace Day 2016. Mtr. Nasreen Khan (Advisor J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides) was the chief Guest while Mrs. Charngeet Kour (Administrator Shri. Guru Govind Public School Jammu) was the Guest of Honor. The participants of the various Scout/Guide Units(Ms. Palak of New Era Environmental Hr. sec. School, Ms. Garima Bhar Carmen Convent School, Ms. Janvi of Sangrella Public School, Ms. Jasmeen Kour Shri. Govind Public School, Ms. Vasili Baghat) of Jammu through light on International Peace Day by presenting their speeches and through drawing with the theme “Building Blocks for Peace”. Mrs. Usha Chunni (State Organizing Commissioner (G)) welcomed the Chef Guest and other Guests, she also through light on the importance of International Peace Day. The Chief Guest and Guest of Honor deeply elaborated the importance of celebration of International Peace day, also gave their best wishes to all the participants. State Secretary J&K State BS&G during his address highlights the role of Scouting and Guiding in the present day to day life and especially the importance of celebration of International Peace Day. Shri. R.C Vaid (Zonal Commissioner) J&KBS&G Jammu Presented the vote of thanks. The Event was conducted by Mr. Haroon Malik ( State Coordinator Messenger of Peace Team Jammu & Kashmir with the assistance of Ms. Smiley Gupta ( Vice Chairperson State Youth Committee J&K BS&G)
