Bhutan Scouts Association (BSA) joins the world in celebrating International Peace day with the theme " Building Blocks for Peace". Bhutan Scouts Association celebrated the day with much pomp and grandeur. His Excellency, the Education Minister was the chief Guest for the celebration. With so much support and cooperation from the Government, BSA has been able to hype up the event and raised awareness about it in Bhutan. Many Districts in Bhutan marked the day with peace activities. At the national level, the highlights of the day was planting of peace trees by the Education Minister and others. Blood donation campaign was organized for the gathering. 100 young people donated blood on the day. Individual peace pledges were made and honored on the day. Youth made speeches on peace and shared their stories about peace on the day. 300 new profiles were created on the day. Celebration began from 9:00 AM and ended around 6:30 PM. National Television and other print media houses covered our stories on the day. More than 1600 young people, adults, volunteers, Rovers, Scouts and cubs joined the celebration and marked the day with much enthusiasm.
