Bharat Scouts and Guides Unit Udhampur Distributing Masks and Food packets to needy
To tackle the global Pandemic, Bharat Scout and Guide District Udhampur has started a mask bank. Scout guides will make their own masks available to the needy. Along with this, they will also tell the benefits of its application. The district organization of Bharat Scout Guide has set a target of making more than five thousand masks. In it, all the scouters, guiders and their troops with the district association will make 50–50 masks themselves. We will then make it available to the district organization. Also, each will make 2–2 masks per person for his own family. This initiative by the district unit against infection is not new. Earlier, the organization has been campaigning for awareness of Covid-19 and method that should be adopted to prevent it's spread.
District Joint Secretary Rakesh Sharma said that every volunteer of the organization is engaged in this work. Students are engaged in the light of the instructions received by the National Headquarters New Delhi. In this project, distribution of masks and food items to the needy is going on in different government offices and different places. After this, distribute masks to passers by near the main chowk of the city. Corona awareness campaign and mask distribution campaign will continue in the coming days.
Our scouts have been continuously working day and night with the district administration since May 14 to send back migrant workers.
