"World Organisation Scout Movement's Initiatives " The virtual Better World Framework initiative was inaugurated by Mr. Jose Rizal Pangilinan, Regional Director, Asia Pacific region & the first day Session was taken by Mr. Madhusudan Avala, Deputy International commissioner ( Scout ) on 5th August 2020. Am very blessed to watch such an effective & inspiring session .Thank you Bharat Scouts and Guides India for 1st day Session about "WOSM INITIATIVES " . Throughout its history, Scouting has inspired its millions of members to make a difference – applying their leadership to creating a better world. MoP is a World Scouting Initiative, which encourages Scouts to do community service and tell the story of their experience in order to inspire others to action. The Initiative has three components: The Messengers of Peace Support FundThe Messengers of Peace Educational ProgrammeThe Messengers of Peace Network These elements are connected: Today's technology enables us to exchange, and share inspiration through our Scouts Global Messengers of Peace Netowrk, for project ideas and ways to take action. The educational programme provides guidance on how to implement project ideas, and the Support Fund gives the necessary means for the National Scout Organisation’s projects. On 7th August , we had our 3rd Webinar on "Champions For Nature Challenge and Earth Tribe Initiative" by Ms Cynthia Marquez, Senior Manager, Educational Initiatives and Messenger of Peace, World Scout Bureau, Global Support Center, Kuala Lumpur. On 8th August , we had our fourth Webinar on "Sustainable Development Goals" by Mr Syd Castillo, Director, Educational Methods, World Scout Bureau, Asia Pacific Support Center and "Ticket to Life" by Mr Arup Sarkar, Deputy Director of Scouts (Project), National Headquarters, New Delhi of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. The programme started with BSG Prayer followed by Welcome address by honourable Mr Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Dr KP Mishra, Senior National Vice President, Mr Ashok Agral, Vice President and Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Boy Programme). After the Welcome address, session on Sustainable Development Goals was taken by Mr Syd Castillo where he had delivered inspiring and motivating speech and along with that he has explained and demonstrated about Scouts for SDGs. He has also discussed about the 5P's of Sustainable Development, Why Scouting and SDGs, The Better World Framework, the Patrimonito Scout Badge, the World Scout Environment Programme, Earth Tribe Initiative, Scouts Go Solar, He For She Campaign, the Dialogue for Peace Programme and the Messenger of Peace Programme and Network. He also discussed about the Partners for SDGs, and the efforts of WOSM on SDGs. It was a beautiful and wonderful presentation presented by him. We all were inspired so much. After that, we had another Session on Ticket to Life Project of APR by Mr Arup Sarkar, Deputy Director of Scouts (Project) and National NSO Coordinator for TTL. He elaborated the definition, aims and objectives of the Project and along with that presented about the two units of the Bharat Scouts and Guides and their contribution for the TTL Project. It was also inspiring indeed because street children should also have the access of Scouting. Finally, after the session, vote of thanks was presented by honourable Mr Krishnaswamy Ramamoorthy, Executive Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. After that, one inspiring video on SDGs was shown by Mr Analendra Sharma, Assistant Director, North Eastern Region along with his closing address. Thanks to Bharat Scouts and Guides for arranging such an effective and important Topic related to global. On 17th August , we had our 2nd Phase fifth Webinar on "Scouts of the World Award " by Ms Ally, WOSM Consultant, Thailand and "Patrimonito Scout Badge" by Ms Cynthia Marquez, Senior Manager, Educational Initiatives and Messenger of Peace, World Scout Bureau, Global Support Center, Kuala Lumpur. The programme started with BSG Prayer followed by Welcome address by honourable Mr Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Boy Programme) and Mr Santosh Male, IAS, Chief Guest. After the Welcome address, session on Scouts of the World Award was taken by Ms Ally where she had explained in details about How to earn the Scouts of the World Award, What is it, How is it related with the SDGs, targets, networks, history of the award, background of the award, Components of the Award and the Discovery of the Award, It was a beautiful and wonderful presentation presented by her. We all were inspired so much. After that, we had another Session on Patrimonito Scout Badge by Ms Cynthia Marquez where she elaborated the definition of the badge, how to earn it, World Heritage Sites, Patrimonito - Thailand, It's relationship with Scouts for SDGs and gave some ideas of the project. Finally, after the session, a short information was presented by honourable Mr Krishnaswamy Ramamoorthy, Executive Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. After that, one inspiring video was shown of how together we can change the world. And after that the programme came to end by the Vote of thanks given by Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Project). I hope that we all bsgindia's member works together to achieve these badges at world level. On 18th August , we had our 2nd Phase 6th Webinar on "Dialogue for Peace " by Mr Syd Castillo, Director, Education Methods, World Scout Bureau, Asia Pacific Support Center. The programme started with BSG Prayer followed by Welcome address by honourable Mr Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Boy Programme), Mr Debaditya Chakraborty, IAS and State Chief Commissioner, West Bengal State and Mr Shyamal Kumar Biswas, National Commissioner for Training and State Commissioner of Scout of West Bengal State. After the Welcome address, session on Dialogue for Peace was taken by Mr Syd Castillo where he has explained in detail about - Dialogue for Peace Programme, What is Peace, Culture of Peace, Ten Principles of Dialogue, Ground Rules for Dialogue Group, Dialogue for Peace & SDGs, Dialogue for Peace Badge Programme, Dialogue for Peace Certification and Partnerships. It was a beautiful and wonderful presentation presented by him. We all were inspired so much. After that, we had a quiz on slido.com which was very interesting. Finally, after the session, a short information was presented by honourable Mr Krishnaswamy Ramamoorthy, Executive Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. After that, information on forthcoming International Day of Peace on 21st September was given by Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Project). And finally the programme came to end by the Vote of thanks given by Mr Analendra Sharma, Assistant Director, North East Region. On 19th August , we had our 2nd Phase 7th Webinar on "Diversity and Inclusion" by Mr Peter Balatch, Member, World Scout Committee, World Scout Bureau and "Scouts Go Solar" by Ms Cynthia Marquez, Senior Manager Educational Initiatives and Messenger of Peace, World Scout Bureau, Global Support Center, Kuala Lumpur and Ms Lau Hoolin, Member, APR Expert Panel. The programme started with BSG Prayer followed by Welcome address by honourable Mr Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Boy Programme), Mr Mohammed Ali Khalid, Additional Chief National Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. After the Welcome address, session on Diversity and Inclusion was delivered by Mr Peter Balatch where he gave us a concept of - What is Diversity and Inclusion, Importance of Diversity and Inclusion, Why is it important to Scouts and Guides, Resources, Activities and Personal Challenge. He also explained - What is Identity, Identity Star, Statement Diversity in Scouting, Statement Inclusion in Scouting, Target, Vision 2023, Scouting and Human Rights, Diversity Game, Key Dimensions to Diversity and Inclusion, Ten Focus Areas, Call for Action, Key Aspects, SDGs, Various Campaigns - HeForShe, WOSM and UN Women, Resources, Prejudices, WOSM Service Platform, Virtual Diversity Chain. It was a beautiful and wonderful presentation presented by him. We all were inspired so much. After his session, Scouts Go Solar Project was taken by Ms Cynthia Marquez and Ms Lau Hoolin where they have explained - Why Solar Energy is important, Earth Tribe, Partnership, Solar Ambassador, Scouts Go Solar and SDGs, Scouts Go Solar Challenge, Scouts Go Solar handbook, Community Mobilization, Four paths of learning, Education for Sustainable Development Learning, Objectives, Activities, How to be a part of Earth Tribe, Journey and Toolbox. It was an amazing experience for all of us. The same was explained by Mr Bablu Goswami, Assistant Director of Eastern Region in Hindi. Overall it was very fruitful. Finally, after the session, a short information was presented by honourable Mr Krishnaswamy Ramamoorthy, Executive Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. And finally the programme came to end by the Vote of thanks given by Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Boy Programme). On 20 August 2020 , we had our 2nd Phase Eighth and 8th i.e final Webinar on "Storytelling" by Ms Luz L Taray, Director, Communications and Partnerships, World Scout Bureau, Asia Pacific Support Center and Mr Kenny Ralph Fernando, Project Officer, Communications and Partnerships, World Scout Bureau. The programme started with BSG Prayer followed by Welcome address by honourable Mr Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides and Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Boy Programme). After the Welcome address, Session on "Storytelling" was delivered by Ms Luz L Taray, Director, Communications and Partnerships World Scout Bureau, Asia Pacific Support Center where she has explained in details - What is storytelling, components of storytelling, forms of storytelling, connecting with audience, structure of storytelling, style of storytelling, forms - photos, infographics and audiovisual. It was a beautiful and wonderful presentation presented by her. We all were inspired so much. After her session, the same was taken by Mr Kenny Ralph Fernando, Project Officer, Communications and Partnerships, World Scout Bureau on "Tips and tricks for an impactful storytelling" where he explained - storytelling is an impactful process, Communications, how storytelling fits our bigger picture, how to write a story, what makes a story impactful, Guiding via questions and next steps. It was indeed inspiring. Finally, after the session, a short information and explanation was presented by honourable Mr Krishnaswamy Ramamoorthy, Executive Director of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. And after that, the feedback form was explained by Mr Amar B Chettri, Deputy Director of Scouts (Boy Programme). Finally it was the time to say Goodbye. Our stalwarts, Mr P G R Sindhia, Secretary General of the President in Council, Mr Mohammed Ali Khalid, Additional Chief National Commissioner and Dr H P Chettri, Chief Commissioner of Scouts blessed the occasion and the participants with their golden words. Finally a wonderful Vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs Darshana Pawaskar, Jt Director of Guides (Field Operations). After that, a video was shown of all the members who were working tirelessly day and night for the success of the Webinar. And finally the event came to an end by playing of National Anthem.
