CELEBRATING A DECADE OF MESSENGERS OF PEACE (2011-2021)

ON 24TH JUNE TO 27TH JUNE 2021

Day – 1 (24th June, 2021)

The opening of the Conference commenced on 24 June 2021 at 12:30 Hrs./GMT+5:30 (India, Sri Lanka), followed by the conference program. The Key Note Speaker during the opening ceremony was the Chairman of the World Scout Committee Mr. Craig Turpie. Many other dignitaries have also attended the opening ceremony. The welcome address was delivered by Ram Prasad Bhattarai (MoP NSO Coordinator of Nepal). Paul Parkison (Member of MoP Regional Decision Committee) has delivered the conference introduction speech.

 

Going through as per the program schedule  Mr. S. Prassanna Shrivastava (Directors, Organizational Development and MoP, APR) has given the overall report from Global and Regional MoP in the last 10 years.

 

After that seven NSOs namely Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, India, Philippines proudly presented their Messengers of Peace Success Stories for the last 10 years. For BSG, India Mr. Madhusudan Avala (Dy. International Commissioner/S) nicely presented  Messengers of Peace Success Stories for the last 10 years along with Mr. Amar B Chettri (MoP NSO Coordinator, BSG/India) and other dignitaries of BSG, India.  Mr. Amar B Chettri also stated proudly that  MoP Network  in BSG is Growing and Blowing like lightning speed .

 

After a tea break of five minutes, MoP Heroes  Mr. Hallen from Hong Kong and Mr. Kailash Pillay from Fiji have presented their Heroic Actions.

 

Mr. Prassanna Shrivastava (Directors, Organizational Development and MoP, APR¬) suggested all the participants to recommend  the name for the MoP Hero award for the year 2020-21 within the age 11 to 26 years, and the last date of recommendation is 30th June, 2021.

Mr. Kailash Pillay has delivered the vote of thanks.

And here the first day concluded.
