Bangladesh Agricultural University has chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the Agriculturist Day on 13 Feb, 2020.

The programmes include rally, Pitha (cake) festival, discussion etc.

On the occasion, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina issued separate messages wishing all programmes of the day a success. Recalling the initiatives taken by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for the development of the agricultural sector, President Abdul Hamid, in his message, said Bangabandhu gave agriculturists first class status on the day in 1973, including modernising the sector. The President also said against the backdrop of modern human civilization, national growth without the development of agriculture is not possible here.
