8th district level camporee Ganderbal.
Srinagar: In a Camporee organized at youth Hostel Sonmarg 350 boys and girls, scouts and guides, from more than dozen schools participated in a five day event.
The eighth district level camporee, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Bharat Scouts & Guides, at Sonamarg was held on August 26to 29th 2017.
“The Qualities of our young generation needs to be harnessed and these are the moments when their hidden qualities come to fore,” President Private Schools Association G N Var, chief guest on the function, told scouts and guides.
The participating students were put to task so that their physical and mental abilities are sharpened and ‘they are able to face tough conditions physically, psychologically and emotionally’.
While Rahi Reyaz Ahmad, chairman Ahsan Foundation J&K, guest of honor hailed the Camporee of ‘its benefits for the young generations’, PRO Private School Association, also asked participants to ‘push their limits so that their talents are harnessed for the betterment of society’.
The schools which were present in the Camporee included Army public school, sainik school,Govt.boys hr.sec. school , Govt. Girls hr.sec. school, Royal public school, etc.
The organizers thanked Deputy Commissoner Ganderbal Dr Piyush Single, SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad, MD JKTDC Sarmad Hafeez, CO Sonmarg Sarwar Qazi.
Participating students hailed the efforts of Imran Khan, Leader of the camp, Muzafar ahmad tramboo, Sheikh M Shafi, Campore organizer, shah Aijaz camporee secretary, Mr. Bashir Ahmad dar, Mr. Sameer Ahmad etc.
