2019 Scout District Rally
The Lautoka Scouters Council hosted its Annual District Rally. This was hosted by Lololo Primary school which was attended by 37 Scout troops. The event saw a big number of students, teachers and parents participating in this years event, 760 Boys and Girls scouts, 68 leaders and 165 parents attended the rally. The theme for this years rally was "Nurture Peace with Green Scouts". A lot of fun and informative activities were organised for the students.
I was part of the 1st Lautoka Special troop. We had a good number of boys and girls who attended the camp. Students were delegated duties and responsibility which enabled them to upskill themselves in various areas of development. Firstly, they assisted the scout leaders in setting up the campsite. One of the major aims for us during the camp preparing was to see both girls and boys get engaged in all the types of activity. All the students were actively involved in setting up the campsite, meal preparation and other organised activity. One of the major attractions for the camp was the hiking activity. Students enjoyed the long hike to the mountains and it was refreshing to see all the students cool down in the small river after the long hike,
