1st Eagles Cub Pack complete National Cub Challenge 2019

Our pack completed tasks covering the first 4 SDG's as set out in our National Cub Challenge 2019

SDG 1 - No poverty - we ran a compulsory introductory cub program and created 3 posters educating the community on how to save natural resources: water, plants, soil

SDG 2 - Zero Hunger - Our Cubs earned the Gardening badge and Food for Life badge by developing flower and food gardens at our scout hall. We also collected spare change to buy soup packets to donate to an organisation that feeds destitute people

SDG 3 - Good Health & Well Being - we invited a health professional to speak to our cubs about communicable and non-communicable diseases, our 10 year old cubs earned the 1st Aid & Health badge and all the cubs completed their Healthy Living requirements for the Silver or Gold Wolf challenges

SDG 4 - Quality Education - we created Busy Bags (activity packs) for an Early Childhood Development Centre in our community. The bags were speficially aimed at the 4 different age groups that the centre catered for. All our Cubs had to read a short story to the pack in their home language.
