The Sidhabhairabi Scout Troop of the TTL Unit, under the banner of the Odisha State Ticket to Life (TTL) Project, conducted a meaningful and action-packed day of community service and celebration that reflected the core values of Scouting — peace, service, brotherhood, and environmental responsibility. On the auspicious occasion of Mahalaya Amabasya, which coincided with International Peace Day, the Scouts visited a local orphanage to spread joy and togetherness. As the day was dedicated to paying tribute to ancestors through “Sraaddha” rituals, the Scouts chose to make their Peace Day celebration even more special by bringing smiles to the children at the orphanage. Their visit in the evening symbolized how compassion and small acts of kindness can create lasting happiness. The joy on the children’s faces became the Scouts' biggest reward. In continuation of their commitment to cultural and emotional bonding, the Scouts also celebrated Raksha Bandhan with a unique touch. TTL Scouts — D. Nisha, P. Keerti, Lucky Mohanty, P. Anuska, and D. Divya — handcrafted beautiful Rakhis with love and creativity. These Rakhis were tied during the orphanage visit, extending the spirit of siblinghood beyond biological families and reinforcing a sense of belonging, care, and unity among the children. Alongside these social initiatives, the Scouts took part in the Beach Cleaning Campaign – Day 2, an effort to protect and preserve Odisha’s beautiful coastline. Led by Aniket Kumar Nayak, Hemsundar, T. Gunasekhar, Iswar Rao, and Sagar Sahu, the Scouts engaged in cleaning activities to raise awareness about environmental responsibility and sustainability — reminding everyone that caring for the planet is also a form of service. All these impactful activities were organized and executed by Sidhabhairabi Scout Troop, whose dedication to the goals of the TTL project was evident in every initiative. Their collective efforts showcased how Scouts can be changemakers — spreading peace, protecting nature, and bringing people together. Through these combined efforts, the Sidhabhairabi Scout Troop under the Odisha State TTL Project beautifully demonstrated the power of Scouting to inspire action, compassion, and leadership in today’s youth.
