Ganganagar Shikshan Sibir Scout & Guide - TTL

The Ganganagar Shikshan Sibir Scout and Guide Group, under the Ticket to Life (TTL) Project, has been consistently engaging young Scouts and Guides in activities that foster leadership, environmental stewardship, and community spirit. The group joyfully celebrated International Peace Day at the State Training Centre, Ganganagar, with games and interactive activities that promoted unity and harmony. Troop meetings have remained vibrant with regular patrol-based activities including games, knotting practice, and demonstrations of Baden-Powell’s Six Exercises, all designed to build practical skills, teamwork, and confidence. Special days like Teacher’s Day, Scout birthdays, and World Scout Scarf Day were celebrated with enthusiasm, creating a sense of togetherness and celebration among the young members. Indoor troop meetings were also organized during the monsoon, where members practiced first aid techniques, including victim transportation for Tritiya Sopan testing, and learned the fundamentals of Scouting such as the Scout sign, salute, handshake, Scout Law, and Promise. The group marked World Environment Day by planting saplings under the leadership of dedicated volunteers and scoutmasters, showing a strong commitment to a greener planet. Environmental awareness was also celebrated during Vanamahotsava, where members actively participated in a plantation drive at the State Training Centre in the presence of senior leaders. Similarly, for Earth Day, members took creative steps from home—creating artwork, switching off lights, and lighting candles—to express love and responsibility towards the Earth. The Scouts and Guides of Ganganagar also had the opportunity to represent their unit at the BSG Diamond Jubilee Jamboree held in Tamil Nadu, where eight Scouts participated under the guidance of TTL Leader Prasenjit Roy, gaining national exposure and a deepened connection to the larger scouting movement. Additionally, the group successfully organized a Training cum Testing Camp at the State Training Centre, where around 130 participants from different sections—Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts, Guides, and Rovers—engaged in hands-on learning and skill assessment. Through these diverse and meaningful activities, the Ganganagar Shikshan Sibir TTL Scout and Guide Group continues to embody the spirit of the Ticket to Life Project, empowering children and youth to grow into confident, capable, and compassionate individuals ready to serve society and protect the planet.
