Empowering Students for a Plastic-Free Future
On the occasion of International Plastic Bag Free Day, an awareness program was successfully organized at DAV School and Good Shepherd School to inspire students and teachers to reduce the use of single-use plastic bags and adopt sustainable alternatives.
The program focused on educating participants about the harmful effects of plastic pollution on the environment, wildlife, and human health. Through interactive discussions and awareness activities, students learned how simple daily choices, such as carrying reusable cloth or jute bags, can make a significant positive impact on protecting our planet.
The initiative encouraged everyone to take a pledge to refuse single-use plastic bags and become responsible environmental ambassadors within their families and communities. Students actively participated and expressed their commitment to promoting eco-friendly habits and creating a cleaner, greener future.
International Plastic Bag Free Day served as a meaningful reminder that collective action begins with individual responsibility. By choosing sustainable alternatives today, we can help build a healthier environment for future generations.
