Damini Scout Troop, Sunshine Kids - TTL

The Damini Scout Troop at Sunshine Kids, under the Ticket to Life Project, has remained a beacon of inspiration and positivity through its consistent engagement in educational, cultural, environmental, and personality development activities. With immense enthusiasm, the troop celebrated key national occasions like the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, where children created paintings themed around Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and distributed fruits and educational materials, spreading the message of cleanliness and collective happiness. On Hindi Diwas, the troop honored the language that unites our nation by organizing written competitions and Hindi poem recitations, while regular recognition was given to diligent students through book distributions, reinforcing the importance of consistent effort and participation. The troop also celebrated Teachers’ Day with great affection, where children created heartfelt cards, gifted tokens of love, and performed dances—fostering gratitude and emotional connection with their mentors. Exposure to national-level scouting events was a highlight as children got the opportunity to attend the Rashtrapati Award distribution ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, inspiring them to set higher goals. A similar spirit of motivation was seen during their participation in the Tritiya Sopan Testing Camp held at Shambhu Dayal Inter College, where eight TTL scouts demonstrated their skills, built tents, and earned appreciation from dignitaries for their dedication and progress. Throughout the year, the Damini Scout Troop celebrated numerous cultural festivals such as Janmashtami, Raksha Bandhan, Teej, and Friendship Day. The troop also maintained its commitment to environmental responsibility through its "One Tree for Mother" plantation initiative, where children revisited a green belt developed the previous year. Seeing their planted trees flourishing filled them with pride and reinforced the importance of protecting nature. In addition to these special events, regular weekly meetings, skill sessions, outings to parks, and awareness programs such as hand hygiene and first aid training were conducted. Through its thoughtful blend of learning, culture, service, and celebration, the Damini Scout Troop, Sunshine Kids, continues to uplift and empower underprivileged children, helping them dream bigger, live better, and grow into responsible citizens—true to the mission of the Ticket to Life Project.
