A Pina scouting Club from İzmir, Turkey we had traditional "ZERO" camp again this year and for that one, we were zero to "LAKE". Bafa lake is very speacial one having connection with Aegean Sea, having 5 islands, surrounded with speacial mountains called Latmos in history. And all stones stepped by scouts are historical, part of ancient Heraklia city. Very very very interesting geography. full of different bird types,... During 1 week, we lived 4 seasons, clouds, rains, sun, hot,... 2 sub camp named Latmos and Selene, coordinated by 2 senior scouts.. In camp, there were one more trainings, activities such as; 1) Visit to Priene ancient city 2) Hike to Jesus caves, observing drawings from Jesus time, nature, strange stones and stone graveyards, ancient Heraklia buildings and walls, .. we started walking from night untl breakfast about 12 km. 3) camp sinema, tell me word competition, costume ball, camp fire programmes.. 4) Opening and closing, award ceremonies 5) 3 different scout racecourses acted 3 mornings... 6) making cartoon boats by patrols and competition by using them on lake 7) Learning 10 higher knots and its competition 8) Diving 9) Orienteering and its night compass training 10) Making small sail boats and competition by blowing 11) Folk dance and latin dance 12) personal fitness 13) Button sewing and creating camp canvas 14) better world activity 15) rescue trainings and competition in water 16) swimming in pool and lake 17) tournaments of chess and memory game 18) A special boat tour on lake, visiting 3 islands, a castle and beach 19) Morning inspections every day 20) and ...... well done scouts who achieved to complete that camp.. see you next year again. it is surprise to where we wil be zero
