Zababdeh Scouts Plastic-Free Challenge
I was inspired by our scout values to protect the environment and serve our community in Zababdeh. Seeing the impact of plastic waste on nature motivated me to lead this project and encourage my team to adopt sustainable habits for a cleaner future.
We started by preparing educational materials about plastic pollution. Then, we held a workshop for our scouts in Zababdeh to demonstrate the benefits of eco-friendly alternatives. Finally, we distributed bamboo toothbrushes and reusable water bottles to the participants to encourage them to start their plastic-free journey immediately.
Through this project, we learned that community awareness is the key to reducing plastic waste. We discovered that providing sustainable alternatives, like bamboo toothbrushes, makes it easier for people to change their habits. As scouts, we realized our role in leading environmental change in Zababdeh.
