Young Peace Ambassador at Sam Ngam

The project recognizes that sustainable peace cannot be achieved through external efforts alone, but must begin with strengthening the capacity of youth within the community by equipping them with the skills, attitudes, and values that support peaceful coexistence. Youth are therefore a key target group for fostering empathy, respect for diversity, and peaceful communication from an early and formative stage of life.
Youth also practice leadership and facilitation roles through teamwork and collective reflection. These processes prepare them to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained in real-life contexts, including their families, schools, and communities.
A network of Young Peace Ambassadors is formed within the Sam Ngam community, comprising youth who are aware of peacebuilding principles, equipped with skills in peaceful communication, and committed to the public good.
