Young Leaders Course

Observing at the current situation the local scouts lack of young leaders and only the same people lead at the district, state and national levels. Not adopting a patrolling system is the main factor due to lack of understanding among leaders. There is a need to form new leaders from the beginning and need to get support from all parties especially leaders and district commissioners.
The online course start with Group Leaders were exposed on how to form patrols, troop and group, understand the duties and responsibilities of the patrol leaders and his patrol towards the troop and his group and the role of adult members in this matter. Then all Patrol Leaders, and their assistants along with their group leaders attended the Patrol Leader Induction to give an initial understanding of their duties and role as patrol leaders. They were exposed to some basic skills in leadership.
This program involved Group Leaders, Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders from 15 groups from the district with 82 participants.
I don't aspect that the Group Leaders and scouts which had been appointed as Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader were very willing and eager to learn leadership in scouting, and very interested to go through such a leadership course. Next time need to do more discussion session among young leaders to know their inspiration.
