World Environment Day: Virtual Advocacy WED and WED Theme 2021
World Environment Week is observed globally from 1st June to 5th June 2021 annually with different themes each year. This year's theme is "Restoring Ecosystem".
Daliphangma Primary School Nachung Scouts were virtually advocated on the week and theme beacuse of lockdown in the district. The scouts were shared the following:
What is Restoring Ecosystem?
Restoring ecosystem in simple term refers to reducing the harm and taking actions to make the environment safer place to live for all the living beings.
What can we (Nachung Scouts) do?
We can do many major activities in Restoring the Ecosystem but following were advocated for the Nachungs:
Grow trees
Clean streams and rivers
Use eco-friendly energy for everyday activities.
Clean our house and environment
Follow the (3Rs) Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
Segregate waste at home
Share these information with others
Each Nachung Scouts had committed to do at least TWO actions from the aforementioned activities.
