
World Earth's Day
Around 100 participants gathered together for the mass teak plantation at Pemathang Community Forest (PCF) and within a day, more than five hundred saplings were planted to mark the World Earth's Day.
Today, PCF can boast of having planted more than 6000 teak over ten acres of land which was formally handed over to 100 households by the Ministry of Forest, Royal Government of Bhutan so as to make the public more responsible and to take the sole ownership.
Indeed today it was a previledge for me to take part in such a noble venture and furthermore to put oneself into act during the World Earths Day was a blessing in disguise.
Why is Bhutan regarded as the only Carbon Sink Nation ? The sole reason lie at the grassroots...
