The Workshop on Messengers of Peace for the African Region was held between 17th - 22nd of January, 2017 in Sports View Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya. It had as its theme "Develop an implementation plan for the MoP initiative and Network in Africa". It had in attendance the presence of young scout leaders from across the African Scout Region, Staffs of the African Support Centre (ARO), the African Scout Committee members, and the presence of the Vice Chair-person of the World Scout Committee; Mrs J. Nartey.
