Wipe The Waste-2025
The increasing trash buildup near walkways and buildings in Chamelibagh created an unsanitary and unpleasant environment. Motivated by a sense of community responsibility, the project aimed to clean the area, discourage littering, and establish a sustainable solution for waste disposal.
Led by a Former Senior Patrol Leader, the project was executed on April 9, 2025, with the support of two Rover Members.
Key actions included:
Cleaning up trash from the walkways near buildings.
Putting up posters urging people not to litter.
Setting up a designated trash area so that residents could dispose of waste properly.
Coordinating with city corporation workers to ensure regular waste collection from the designated spot.
Observation drives action – Noticing the problem firsthand led to a focused solution.
Simple solutions work – Creating a trash spot helped organize waste disposal.
Community awareness matters – Posters and cleanup together influenced local behavior.
Teamwork enhances impact – Working with Rovers made the execution smoother and more effective.
