We Need Oxygen - Green Skill -INDIA Phase 2
We inspired to start this project as part of their commitment to environmental conservation and community service. The International Coastal Cleanup Week 2025 provided an opportunity for the organization to mobilize its members and engage them in activities that promote sustainability and protect the environment. To create awareness about the importance of keeping beaches and waterways clean and to encourage participants to take responsibility for maintaining a healthy environment.
We executed the project through a series of coordinated events and activities. Over 1850 Scouts and Guides from various districts of Tamil Nadu were mobilized to participate in the events, from September 16-20, 2025. Participants engaged in cleaning of beaches and riverbanks, collection of garbage, and awareness sessions on environmental conservation. Local villagers and community members were involved in the events, promoting community participation and ownership.
The project highlighted the importance of teamwork and community involvement in making a positive impact on the environment. It also showed that educating people about the importance of keeping our environment clean and protecting it is crucial for our future. Empowering young people to take action and make a difference is a great way to ensure a sustainable future. Even small actions, like picking up trash, can add up and make a big difference when many people do it together.
