On October 3, 2020 the media team of International Youth Fellowship NGO's members in the towship of Sagbado (located about 20 km from Lomé) took part in a video editing training. This training essentially introduced the participants to the basics of video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro. Points such as software installation, taking the first steps, creating a project, importing content (photo & video), video editing, some of video compression standards (H.264, H.265 , MP4, etc), .... At the begining, they were 7 participants, joined by 3 others who had requested permission.

It was also an opportunity to talk about Scouting, as the scarf I wore around my neck raised questions.

At the end of this training, this team was really supplied with tools, thanks to Scouting skills espacaially Education Through Action. By mixing phases theory and practice phases, the participants were satisfied and great was my surprise to notice them clearly applied and confident just after a day of training.

La journée du 3 Octobre 2020 a été mise à contribution pour la formation des membres de l'équipe média de l'ONG International Youth Fellowship dans la commune de Sagbado, située à environ 20 Km de Lomé. Cette formation a essentiellement fait acquérir les bases du montage vidéo avec Adobe Premiere Pro aux participants. Des points tels que l'installation du logiciel, les premiers pas, la création d'un projet, l'importation de contenus (photo & vidéo), le montage proprement dit, les différents standards de compression (H.264, H.265, MP4, etc). De 7 participants au début, nous avons été rejoints par 3 autres qui avaient demandé une permission.

Ce fut également l'occasion de leur parler du Scoutisme, vu que le foulard que je portais au cou suscitait des questions.

A la fin de cette formation, ladite équipe a vraiment été outillée car au Scoutisme, nous pronons l'éducation par l'action. Entre ces nombreuses phases de théorie et de pratique, les participants ont été satisfaits et grande a été ma surprise de les remarquer nettement appliqués et confiant juste après une journée de formation.
