Time :- 01:00pm to 03:00pm The Leader of the Event:- Mr. Syed Jahangir Hobib, D.O.C (S) On the occasion of “Vanamahotsava”, The Bharat Scouts & Guides, Asansol District, organized a “Mass Tree Plantation Programme” on 29th August 2014, at Aradanga, Asansol, under the observation Of Sri S S Gehlot Divisional Railway Manager/ District President, Md. Ishaq Khan ADRM. Asansol/ District Chief Commissioner(S), Sri Ashish Bhardwaj Sr. D.E.N Coordination / District Commissioner (Scout) Asansol, & Mr. Syed Jahangir Hobib, D.O.C (S),Asansol The Scouts Guides, Rovers Ranger, & honorable District President, District Chief Commissioner(S), District Commissioner (Scout) and Other officials & also participated in the mass tree plantation programme. The mass plantation also most effective in fighting air pollution. The highlight of the drive was the mass tree plantation at Burma Shell Railway Colony, Asansol, & where over 40 trees were planted by Scouts, Guides, they showed great enthusiasm in planting these trees which they knew would recharge ground water, prevent soil erosion and prevent siltation of their river. A massive tree plantation drive was also carried out at Aradanga, Asansol. In spite of the rocky terrain and hardened soil. Assemble 01:00pm Welcome Ceremony 01:00 pm to 02 :00 pm Inauguration of Mass Tree Plantation Programme & Sapling Plantation 03:00pm Closing Time to Time Activity Participants:- 20 no’s of Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers, And Leaders. Trees description:- About 40 trees were planted which are of different species. The name of the trees are listed as: mango tree, Jamun tree, kanak Champa, Neem, Deb-daru etc. Future plan:- We have planned the project in the way that water source, and the place for compost will be managed and maintained properly.
