Day-7: Closing Ceremony of Series of Webinar on I’m a Global Citizen, Launching of New Website of BSG India,

Series of Webinar on I’m a Global Citizen of 7th Day cum its Closing Ceremony was started with General Salute followed by the BSG Prayer. Welcome Speech was presented by Mr. Analendra Sharma, Assistant Director, North Eastern Region, BSG, NHQ. Webinar Report was presented alongwith welcome speech by him followed by the reflection of the webinar was presented through video by IT team. Feedback/ Reflection from the participants were also taken up through interview by the MCs in which Mr. Shashank Dwarakanath Murki from Karnataka and Ms. Darshana Indumati were interviewed to take their impression of the webinar.

The Chief Guest of the 7th Day Webinar was Mr. K.K. Khandelwal, (IAS Retd) Chief National Commissioner BSG India and the Guest of Honour was Mr. PGR Sindhia, Secretary General of BSG, India cum State Chief Commissioner Karnataka.

Mr. Madhusudan Avala, Dy. International Commissioner (Scout) was the Guest Speaker of the webinar to sum up the SDGs and took the interesting part by highlighting the 17SDGs through Video and PPTs.

Small video clip of plantation was presented by the IT team of Shri Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director, BSG, India to motivate the participants to take up the action on SDGs.

Mr. Aroop Sarkar, Dy. Director (Boy Programme Scout) has presented about the Outstanding Awards from this which was circulated through the BSG Circular on 24th July, 2020 in which the six Scouts & Six Guides will be awarded annually through proper channel. He urged all the concerned to take the necessary action for the same. Out of the six awardees, the best one will be nominated for the APR Outstanding Award which will be held on Feb.2022 in Tiwan.

Chief Guest Mr. Mr. PGR Sindhia, Secretary General of BSG, India cum  State Chief Commissioner Karnataka addressed the webinar and insist the participant to serve for all as the only Service will be the main mantra of the BSG.  He formally launched the new website of the BSG India for which the technical input session was presented by Shri Jitesh Sheth, Dy. National Commissioner (Rover),  BSG. He highlighted the major features of the webinar and upcoming facilities of the website which are under develop also highlighted in the webinar.

Daily virtual Quiz were taken by MS. Priyanka Prajapat, APR Young Women Ambasador from Rajasthan and Mr. Satyajeet Chaterjee from Assam (Quiz Master)  through slido.com which was most excited moment of the webinar all the days.

Shri Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director, BSG, India addressed the webinar as the closing remarks and urged the participants to start work on the following five issues which are the urgent needs in the present scenario viz. Milk Bank, Medicine Bank, Book Bank, Environment -Plantation ( Each One Plant One), Sensitization on the COVID-19 Vaccine on Myths and Facts to Vaccinate all. Further he urged the participants to follow and subscribe the YouTube Channel of The Bharat Scouts & Guides for the promotion of the Scouting activities and also ask to all the scouting fraternity to do it.

The 7th Day Webinar was adjourned with the proposed of Vote of Thanks by Mr. Krishnaswamy R. Executive Director, BSG, NHQ, and India.
