TTPC WEEK 3 CREATIVE CAMPAIGN

TTPC WEEK 3 CREATIVE CAMPAIGN

I WILL USE MY OWN REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE/TUMBLER. I CHALLENGE YOU TO DO THE SAME! YES TO REUSABLE WATER BOTTLES NO TO PLASTIC BOTTLES Every year, billions of pounds of waste ends up in the oceans, forming city sized islands made entirely of trash. A vast majority of this trash is plastic, meaning it will take thousands of years to decompose. Plastic bottles make up a large proportion of plastic waste, and only about one in five bottles are properly recycled. Disposable plastic water bottles have the potential to "leach" foul- tasting or even potentially harmful chemicals into the water they hold especially if exposed to high temperatures for extended periods. This can be responsible for the nasty "bottled water taste". In contrast, reusable bottles made from BPA- free Tritan plastic, stainless steel, or best of all glass, do not contain these nasty chemicals at all. Properly cared for, quality water bottle is a lasting investment in your everyday convenience. As a member of the Earth Tribe through the TIDE TURNERS PLASTIC CHALLENGE, I take the Clean Seas pledge to turn the tide on plastics. This is a creative campaign from one of our activities in the Tide Turners Plastic Challenge that aims to fight plastic pollution. Here are the other fan signs you can include: • I am trading my plastic bags to my own tote bags. • I will use my own take-out containers. • I am giving up my plastic straws. • I will bring my own mug when buying take-away coffee. Reference from cleanseas.org and www.dailyinfograpic.com I encourage you to do the same and get 5 other people to start the campaign in fighting Plastic pollution. Do the pledge now and commit to #Cleanseas.
