A Tribute of Service on Buddha Purnima 2025
As a Scout, I believe in living by the values of helping others and being of service. When I heard that Buddha Purnima was coming, I felt a strong desire in my heart to do something meaningful. I realized that even a small act of service at a Buddhist monastery could bring peace and happiness to others.
On the day of Buddha Purnima, we, worked at a Paikpara Jagatjyoti Buddhist Monastery.
Our work began with cleaning the monastery grounds. We removed garbage and unnecessary materials to ensure a clean and peaceful environment for the devotees. We then cleaned the sitting areas .Next, we arranged sitting mats , especially for the elderly and the monks, making sure everyone had a respectful and comfortable place to take part in the ceremony.
Through this act of service, I learned that even small efforts can bring deep peace and satisfaction.
I understood the value of compassion, responsibility, and cleanliness.
Though we were only two, I experienced the strength of teamwork and the silent joy of selfless service.
Above all, I realized that serving humanity is a sacred offering in itself.
