Trees for Peace, RCS-2
The scouts both Nazhoen and Nachung gathered in the school at 8 am sharp. With signal of quick gathering in the school’s assembly ground, the scouts rushed to listen to the detail about the event’s. The scout leaders Mr Yeshi Dorji & Mr Nima Tshering briefed scouts about the event. The scouts were also told about the International Peace Day, 21st Sept. celebrating each year to mark the world peace day.
The girl scouts then moved to the plantation area while boy scouts with the scout leader Mr Yeshi Dorji went into the nearby village to get bamboos for fencing around the saplings.
The girl scouts continued for one and half hour clearing the saplings under the scorching heat of the sun yet cheerfully made it ready for boys arrival with bamboos.
The girl scouts cheered up the boys with a scout clap and boys too for having done work well. The scouts were served refreshment before fencing the plants to boost up their energy.
For another 3 hours, the scouts cheerfully fenced all the saplings. The scouts then celebrated the day with yells and songs. The day was dispersed with salutes and handshakes for their team work and for the work done well.
