Tree Planting at National Botanic Garden Shah Alam

Global warming, climate change, flash flood becomes annual event happening in various states of Malaysia. Extreme weather reported around the world. Being a Scout and a human being living on this planet, we learn about all these, to develop and restore our ecosystem to be more sustainable for our future generations become our duty and obligation being a responsible person on our mother earth.
The project has been carried out with the support of Planters International Berhad and funding from Curtin University Alumni Malaysia Chapter at National Botanic Garden Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. A total of 36 from Scouts and family members of Curtin University Alumni Malaysia Chapter had planted a total of 150 trees on this meaningful final day of 2022.
Located in the city of Shah Alam with population more than 600,000, National Botanic Garden Shah Alam covers an area of 817 hectares. Its existence has played a major role in preserving the original biodiversity of the area. The project to plant more trees here has help in enriching and restoring the forested area.
With the deforestation for modern development over the years that cause global warming, climate change and flash floods all over places in the country and worldwide. It's time for everyone of us spare a little bit of our times to do something good to our mother earth. If as little as 36 of us spent a bit of time can plant 150 trees. I believe if everyone on this world can do the same by sparing time to plant more trees, the impact will be great. We shall promote and get more to join.
