Tree Planting Activity - BSP Batangas City Council

This Tree Planting Activity is a direct and necessary response to environmental degradation. It serves the dual purpose of immediate ecological action and long-term behavioral change. By actively increasing the green cover, we work to mitigate air pollution, combat climate change, and restore local biodiversity.

On September 21, 2025 – Sunday, the BSP Emergency Service Corps (ESC) Batangas City voluntarily and actively participated the 2025 Soroptimist International Batangas Downtown (SIBD) Tree Planting Activity at Project Orchard of Hope Garden, Barangay Callejon Municipality of San Antonio Province of Quezon. The said garden was owned by SIBD President Joann M. Marabe, spouse of one of the Standing Committee Chairpersons of our Local Council Executive Board Mr. Bayani “Van” R. Marabe.

Pre-organizing volunteers into small, focused teams (digging, planting, watering) significantly streamlined the process and enhanced overall productivity. When participants, especially youth, were able to "adopt" a tree they planted, their sense of responsibility and personal investment in the project's success increased dramatically.
