Tree Plantation Programme 2024
Trees play an important role in protecting our environment, as they absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and produce oxygen. This activity of planting trees and protecting the environment is very important for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Me and members of my rover unit together purchase some fruit trees and some flowering plants from a nearby nursery. I chose the front of the rover den next to our college grounds to plant trees, so that we can take care of the trees. All the trees are planted in different places near the college grounds. This way the plants will grow properly and I can easily take care of them.
From planting trees we learn about nature care, responsibility, patience, and the importance of the environment. It increases awareness towards our environment and helps us realize the importance of sustainable development.
