Treasure Hunt-An Online Adventure for Local Scouts

The covid pandemic created a panic environment around us. In addition, the scouting activities were halted which reduced adventure and social interaction. Hence, being senior scouts, I along with the other scouts, organized an online event to engage the school scouts in an adventurous and learning environment.
The 4 days Treasure Hunt event was held online and it was only in access to the students of a school scout troop. The team of two, me and my scout friend, drafted the plan where we divided the whole event into three-phase: preparation & registration, event execution, and event evaluation.
The event involved only 11 scouts. The event primarily began with the motive to provide an adventurous and interactive environment in an online platform. Along with this, the event was embedded with the internal motive to aware the scouts of the infinite online resources (scouts online events, online education tools, and essential online applications which were adapting to academics and daily life). Following the event evaluation, the event achieved both, the primary and the internal motive.
Covid, along with short-term panic, came with lots of opportunities too. The exponential growth in the technological field is observed recently. Hence, implementing the project made me realize the importance of adaptation even in scouting activities. Although lots of scouts events were canceled despite the big limitations in online events, the involvement of students and their appreciation encouraged us, as an organizer, to further organize such events for the junior scouts.
