Trash to Treasure: Plant Pots

The motivation behind this project was to promote sustainability by giving plastic bottles a second life, rather than letting them pollute the environment. By transforming waste into plant pots, the project encourages creativity, eco-friendly practices, and awareness about reducing plastic use. It also inspires individuals to take small yet impactful steps toward protecting nature, fostering greenery, and contributing to a cleaner and healthier planet through responsible action.
The project was executed by collecting used plastic bottles and cleaning them thoroughly. Each bottle was cut and shaped into a pot, ensuring smooth edges for safe handling. Holes were made at the bottom for proper drainage. Finally, soil and saplings were planted in the pots. The activity not only recycled waste but also promoted greenery and hands-on learning about sustainability.
Through this project, I learned the importance of recycling and how small actions can create a big difference in protecting the environment. I understood that waste can be transformed into something useful and beautiful with a little creativity. The activity also taught me practical skills like cutting, designing, and planting, while strengthening my sense of responsibility toward nature. Most importantly, I realized that sustainable choices begin with simple efforts made by individuals.
