Training opportunities to discover SDGs and create a solidarity project
With the support of the MOP Programme and the involvement of numerous partners (Yes Akadémia, Eclaireuses Eclaireurs Unionistes de France...), the Eclaireuses Eclaireurs de France (EEDF) offered training opportunities to scouts and non scouts from 15 to 25 years old. They learned to pursue the SDGs at the French and international levels inside communities, with associations and through solidarity actions.
More specifically the "Scouts go SDGs" project included a training of trainers, 5 sessions of training and two events to share experiences on international solidarity project. 117 participants were happily trained to enter new global challenges and create solutions.
Safiatou, a civic volunteer in France and from the Burkina Faso : " I was right to leave Toulouse (a French city) to partake this training. It opened my eyes on new aspects of my project. I felt much more driven at the end of the training!"
Jippé, a trainer : "SDGs are good tools to open exchange and debate to all topics. They are broad goals and can be used according to our learning objectives."
