Training new batch of lifesavers
With the aim to make our water activities safer, a basic life saving course (Bronze Medallion level) was conducted at Malaysia Marine Transport Training Institute (MATRAIN) swimming pool in Pulau Indah, Selangor, from 6 - 8 April. A total of 13 participants ranging from Senior Air Scouts, Senior Scouts, Rover Scouts, Scout Leaders & Sea Scout Commissioners from 5 different states in Malaysia have attended the training. Training was conducted by 2 trainers from Life Saving Society Malaysia covering water safety, CPR & EAR, basic first aid, on-land rescues, in-water rescues and underwater rescues. The participants will be sitting for their Bronze Medallion assessment in a few months time. Wishing them all the best in their assessment and in making water activities for Scouts safer.
