Training on GPS-A Life Saving Technology (Level-1)
With the advancement of technology, using GPS is a must know technology for everyone. As a scout leader, I understood the need for educating everyone with GPS skill. Hence, to have more resourceful leaders, I decided to train my school scout leaders on this skill so that they can further disseminate the knowledge to students.
I invited two senior scout leaders, Mr. Duptho Wangdi (Scout Focal of Tendruk CS) and Mr. Kinley Dorji (Principal of Soeltapsa PS), who are certified GPS level 2 trainers to give training in my school where I also joined the trainers to facilitate the training. They have been certified by Druk GPS Society and Bhutan Scout Association.
We were also support by Druk GPS Society's founder, Mr. Ugyen Dorji, and Youth Leader Miss Sangay Zangmo through online.
This voluntary program underscores the commitment of the Bhutanese scouting community to integrate modern technology with traditional values, enhancing the skills and preparedness of young leaders for community service.
