The authorities have decided to observe traffic discipline week every month in suitable timeframe in order to improve the situation, Mir Rezaul Alam, additional commissioner DMP (Traffic), told The Daily Star. Although the members of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Rover Scout, BNCC and Bangladesh Girl Guides members were involved with the traffic police to make people aware about traffic law, this time no volunteers will be involved with the traffic week activities, the police official said. "We will involve additional police force from the Public Order Management (POM) instead of the volunteers as they are busy with classes and exams," he added.
