Toilets Making Campaign in Earthquake Affected Areas In Nepal
I personally initiated and worked in a Toilet Making Campaign with my Father and 3 friends after devastating Earthquake in Nepal in 25th April, 2015.
We worked together and built toilets for schools in most of the earthquake affected areas in the Nepal.
I tried to get help from different organizations to make the campaign a success. However, after many unsuccessful attempts, attempts I got a helping hands from Nepal Scout team to run my individual project of Toilet Making in the earthquake affected schools in different places in Nepal.
Places we built toilets:
Dhading
Haibung, Sindhupalchowk
Mulpani, Kathmandu
Fulbari, Okhaldhunga
Dandagaun, Okhalchunga
Dolakha
Devitar, Kavre
Nuwakot
In the period of crisis, in order to help prevent further loss of lives due to improper sanitation, we are running a pit latrine (toilet) campaign for earthquake affected areas to maintain the hygiene and sanitation of the survivors. Learning from the past experience in Haiti, it is high time for us to act in the interest of earthquake victims.
For the same, here is the reference for items and time required to build the toilet.
