Time and Life

We have noticed that the place where we carry out our activities, the Parque Vivencial do Lago Norte, has had a large amount of non-organic waste (trash) scattered everywhere, and we wanted a better place.
In April 2024, we carried out a cleanup along the park’s shore (Paranoá Lake) and found shoes, socks, tires, glasses, and many bottle caps. The sight of improperly discarded waste made us realize the importance of taking action. Teaching everyone would be very difficult, but we took on the challenge of raising awareness about the damage that improperly disposed waste can cause to the Lago Norte population and our school community.
We realised that would have been better if we had involved the children parents in order to extend our actions to the scouts households. But we are in the write way, becouse when people kwow about the danger of not worring about trash, they try to do the right thing.
