TIDE TURNER PLASTIC CHALLENGE

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Unit Udhampur (UT JK) Under the guidance of Scout Master Rakesh Sharma, take part in Tide Turner Plastic challenge. Scout Master Rakesh Sharma told that it is an initiative taken by Bharat Scouts and Guides, engaging youth across the country to address the issue of plastic pollution threatening life in oceans, rivers and on land. The initiative seeks to educate young individuals on single-use plastics leading to action that will reduce land and marine plastic pollution It aims at providing tangible and fun ways for young people to reduce the use of single use plastics in their homes, schools and communities. In this competition, students of KC Gurukul Public School take part. They make various items like birds feeder, Pen-box, Pencil-box, Flower pots etc. Their projects also elaborates how reducing plastic waste will contribute to achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The scout Master Amar Dev Singh and Guide Captains Divyangna Dubey plays a pivotal role in encouraging the scouts and Guides to do best.
