Teachers Day in Bhutan is celebrated every year on 2nd May coinciding with birth anniversary of His Majesty 3rd King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. The day is considered as one of the most important day for all Bhutanese students to pay their respect to teachers. For teachers, it’s the day to recollect their hardwork and appreciate their teaching job. Therefore, this year (2019), the scouts of Wanakha Central School took the lead role in coordinating the celebration under the advisory leadership of Scout Leader Mr.Dago Rinzin. The program opened up with prayer ceremony exactly at 9:00 am and winded up at 2pm.The total participants consists as follow:

1. Staff : 45
2. WCS students: 510
3. Non formal learners: 58
4. ECCD children: 35
5. Parents 125
