Tawa Community Garden's Shed
Early on Sunday morning (Aug 28), seven Regal Rovers/Squires/Associates went out to the Tawa Community Gardens, to build a garden shed.
Starting at roughly 10am, the crew worked for 7 hours to complete the build. On arrival the crew arrived to a pile of pre-made walls and assorted nails, glasses and roofing equipment. Working commenced by figuring out what components went where and by laying the foundations for the shed to be placed on. At completion, the crew was satisfied with their work, as was the committee of the 'Tawa Community Gardern'.
The Tawa community gardens is a local start-up initiative, designed to promote gardening education for the local community and in due course, to provide free vegetables. The shed that the Rovers built will support their project, as they are now able to store their gear on site, in a secure location.
