Switch the light off and let's be clean
This project was inspired by the need to promote responsible energy use and environmental protection in our community. We noticed that many people often leave lights on unnecessarily and that waste management at home is limited. As Scouts and Messengers of Peace, we wanted to raise awareness, encourage good habits, and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
We organized a community awareness campaign to encourage people to switch off lights when they are not in use by pasting stickers under all switch in order to save energy. After the sensitization activity, we carried out a cleaning campaign at a local school with the help of scouts members. To support better waste management, we also donated a selective sorting bin to the school.
Through this project, we learned that small actions can create a big impact in the community. Awareness and education help people change their habits, especially regarding energy saving and environmental protection. We also learned the importance of teamwork, community participation, and taking responsibility to build a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
