BRIEF NOTE ON THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS 1.HIV/AIDS Awareness Programme As part of our Scouting activity, we conducted an awareness programme on HIV/AIDS for six months from 05.09.2016 to 06.02.2017 at Trivandrum Hotel, Trivandrum District, Kerala Prior to starting the activity, we had met the District Medical Officer (DMO) and the Kerala Aids Control Society Officials to know more about AIDS and also to collect pamphlets for distribution among those who are residing in the rooms of the hotel and along with we conduct a survey to assess people's awareness on AIDS/HIV disease. It was found that people are aware about AIDS, but some misconception is there among the people on the spread of the disease. However our awareness campaign helps to aware about AIDS/HIV and mode of precautions to be taken to keep away from the disease or the spread of the disease. 2.Sustainable development of Environment As part of the project, we have conducted an awareness programme on Sustaining Environment for six months from 0.09.2016 to 05.02.2017 in Aryankuzhy Residence Association, in Trivandrum District, Kerala Prior to starting the activity, we had met the Executive members of Aryankuzhy Residence Association and we approach the houses in the Association to make awareness for improving quality of life while living in the carrying capacity of supporting ecosystem and maintaining clean air, water, land and energy for the existence. we covered the area of healthy living and waste management.
