Supporting Disabled Students on Eid al-Adha

I was inspired by the belief that every child deserves to feel valued and joyful during Eid. Many children with disabilities are often overlooked in celebrations. I wanted to change that—at least for one school—by making sure they felt seen, loved, and included.
I identified the school in advance and coordinated the distribution with their authorities. I collected donations and purchased essential Eid items. On Eid day, I personally visited the school and handed out the gifts directly to the students with respect and warmth, ensuring each child was included.
This project taught me how simple acts of kindness can create big emotional impact. I also learned the value of preparation, communication, and sensitivity when working with differently-abled communities. Most importantly, I realized that true peace begins with inclusion.
