Street Play on Vigilance Awareness Week 2024
In view of the Vigilance awareness week 2024 we felt the need to spread awareness about the harmful effects of corruption. While initiating the script for the street play I connected the story to the life of a student and showcased how corruption almost destroys his life and academic success. The street play also showcased the role of Central Vigilance commission in helping the citizens to protect themselves from corrupt officials and corruption
During the Vigilance awareness week 2024 we perform the street play at various locations like NTSK Railway station, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika community hall, etc and also launched the Street play video on social media for spreading awareness through mass media. Through the video and live demonstration we successfully emphasized the importance of self awareness and about Central Vigilance commission as well as PIDPI method of raising complaints for seeking redressal.
Through live performances we were able to gather maximum public attention at the Station and Community hall and through the video clips uploaded on social media, we were also able to spread maximum awareness over mass media.
While initiating the script for the initiative, I was able to learn about various cases on a day to day basis in which people are exploited by corrupt officials and their unable to seek redressal due to lack of awareness. Hence it was highly essential for spreading awareness among the common people so that they can protect themselves and help to create a responsible community where justice is primary and the individuals as well as institutions are trustworthy and strong.
