STREET PLAY FOR REDUCE PLASTIC POLLUTION
We were inspired to start this project after seeing the harmful impact of plastic pollution in public places. I wanted to raise awareness in a creative way, and a street play felt like the best way to engage people and promote eco-friendly habits.
We planned and rehearsed the street play with our scout members, focusing on strong messages and visuals to highlight the dangers of plastic pollution. On the day of the event, we performed at Barddhaman Junction Railway Station, where we attracted a large crowd. The play used real-life scenarios, slogans, and emotional appeal to engage the audience. Pamphlets were also distributed with tips on reducing plastic use. The response was encouraging, and many people appreciated the initiative.
Through this project, I learned the power of teamwork, planning, and creative communication. I realized that awareness campaigns, even on a small scale, can make a big impact. I also gained confidence in public speaking and understood the importance of engaging the community to bring about environmental change.
