Strawless Movement Project

One of the largest types of waste in the oceans is straws, plastic straws are made from propylene or polystyrene plastic which takes 500-1000 years to decompose. research from Divers Clean Action, 187.2 tons of waste was dumped in marine areas on the world's beaches and oceans, of which 6.2 million were plastic straws. That's why I started this project in 2017 to solve the problem in Mamuju, especially Plastic Straw
This Project was Implemented in Nine (9) cities in Indonesia. I collaborate with Young Generation in 9 cities by open Volunteers in social media and we started this project one by one in every city by doing small campaign in Media, Cafe and Public Area
In Mamuju city there are around 300 people get in Impact if I calculate in total from 9 cities it would be around 1500. be this project we successfully collaborate with 11 Cafes to reduce Plastic straws in their cafe
from this Project, I have learned how to build connections and great communication with the team and also the cafe that collaborates with us. The plastic straw is one of the problems in our country but I believe if we collaborate with Young Generation, People and Government we can solve this problem together. it's just small Act by reduce to use Plastic Straw
