Steps of Care: Shoes & Sanitation Drive
What inspired me to start this project was the need to ensure environmental health and safety. For Scout members, proper cleanliness and sanitation—especially concerning their feet and shoes—is essential to staying healthy and protecting one another from infections. With this goal in mind, I decided to initiate this project so that we can all work together in a safe and hygienic environment.
This project was implemented through Bangladesh Scouts at the 7th National COMDECA. It was organized to raise awareness among local people about the importance of sanitation and keeping their footwear clean. We provided them with essential items such as sanitizers and cleaning materials and encouraged them to follow proper hygiene practices. Through this initiative, our goal was to ensure a healthy and safe environment for the community.
Through this project, I learned many important lessons. First, raising awareness and providing proper guidance is essential, especially regarding health and sanitation. Second, even a small initiative can bring significant change if managed properly. Additionally, I learned the value of cooperation among local people and the importance of teamwork, especially when coordinating with multiple parties.
