Eastern Railway State Bharat Scouts and Guides successfully organized a State Level Webinar on "Career Counselling" on 31st October 2020 in two phases from 11:00 am to 1:45 pm and 4:00 pm to 6:45 pm under the dynamic leadership of Mr Syed Jahangir Hobib Sir, State Organizing Commissioner (Scout), Eastern Railway State Bharat Scouts and Guides and also under the able supervision of Mr Sanjib Sha Sir, Asst State Organizing Commissioner (Scout), Eastern Railway State Bharat Scouts and Guides who are very dedicated and passionate stalwarts of our State. The Webinar started with BSG Prayer followed by the Welcome Address given by Mr Syed Jahangir Hobib Sir, SOC(S). Then, the first half session was conducted by a very eminent personality, Mr Neeraj Kumar Verma Sir, IRSE, District Commissioner (Scout), Asansol District who gave a wonderful presentation about Career - What is it? and How to plan a successful career?. A two way interaction was also held by the participants and our resource speaker. After the successful conclusion of the first half, the second half session was conducted by a very talented personality, Mr Santanu Majumder Sir, Rashtrapati Rover and Carrier Planner (associated with Bidhan Chandra College, Asansol) who wonderfully explained, demonstrated and related the Scouting Courses and Values v/s Career Counselling and Career Planning which was also a very interesting one. After the session, Vote of thanks was delivered by Mr Rajen Roy Sir, STC(S). A one minute silence was observed on the sad demise of our young and active Asst Cub Master of Naihati Group, Sealdah District, Late Rounak Mukherjee due to Covid 19. Finally the programme ended with the National Anthem. Today's Webinar has given the participants a platform to voice their opinion about what they would like to pursue. This Webinar has made the transition from one field to another. It gave them the required confidence to change their domain, with the support of our two experienced mentors, the resource speakers of today's Webinar. It was a wonderful experience for all of us to take part in it. Overall it was an interactive, interesting and fruitful Webinar. Thanks to our stake holders i.e., our State Officials for organizing such a wonderful programme.
